My name is Liam Slade, and I am a senior in Mr.McCready's music tech class. I've been born and raised in this small town of Clarksville, Maryland. I am an athlete; I play lacrosse and I wrestle. This is my first year in music tech, but have had Mr. McCready previously as a teacher for guitar. I've always loved music my whole life. At a young age, my father showed me the basics of playing guitar, but since my hands were too small to play, I quickly lost interest. In fourth grade, I decided to join my school's band and play the saxophone. I continued to play the saxophone for the next four years; up until 8th grade. Once I got to high school, I discontinued with the saxophone and took a "break" from playing music. Once I found out about Mr. McCready's guitar class, I was ecstatic. I picked back up playing the guitar my sophomore year in Mr.McCready's guitar 1 class. While in his class, he also mentioned to me about his Music Tech classes. I couldn't fit either of his classes in my junior year schedule, but was able to take them my senior year. I hope to somehow use the skills I have learned in this class to further my musical career after high school.
